Creation of Blue Odyssey

Blue Odyssey is a large 48 x 60 inch canvas that was truly a work in progress.  It began with a series of prepping the canvas with liquitex bonding material.  This added a wonderful dimension to the canvas and grab the ongoing series of washes with a lot of fervor.  As I applied each layer I used three approaches.  Construction, destruction and reconstruction.  While pictures only give a hint of this technique I hope you'll take minute to watch some of the videos for greater insight.  

In the end I'm very pleased with the results and found that it makes for a wonderful presentation vertically versus horizontal.
